Privacy Policy

⚠️ Template — replace the bracketed placeholders (legal entity, contact, governing law) and have this reviewed by a lawyer before launch. Goldn processes facial images, which are regulated as sensitive/biometric data in many regions (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, Illinois BIPA).

This Privacy Policy explains how Goldn ("Goldn", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Goldn mobile app (the "App").

1. Information we collect

Photos you upload (selfies). To generate your photos, you provide selfies. These images contain your face and are used to create your AI photos.
Generated photos. The images the App creates for you.
Account identifier. An anonymous user ID from Firebase Authentication. We do not require your name or email to use the core App.
Purchase data. When you buy credits or a subscription, Apple processes the payment and shares a transaction identifier with us to grant your credits. We never receive your card details.
Basic diagnostics. Crash and performance data to keep the App working.

2. Facial / biometric data

The selfies you upload and the photos we generate contain facial imagery. We use them solely to generate your requested photos and provide the service. We do not use your face to identify you across services, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train foundation models. By uploading selfies, you consent to this processing. You can delete your images at any time (see “Your rights”).

3. How we use your information

To generate your photos using Google Cloud’s Gemini image models (Vertex AI).
To operate the credits/subscription system and prevent abuse.
To provide support and improve reliability.

4. Service providers

We use trusted processors that handle data on our behalf: Google Firebase & Google Cloud / Vertex AI (authentication, storage, generation, hosting) and Apple (payments). Your uploaded selfie is transmitted to Google’s Gemini model to produce your photos. We do not share your images with advertisers.

5. Retention & deletion

Your uploaded selfies and generated photos are stored in your private area of our storage and are accessible only to you. You may delete them in-app at any time. When you request account deletion, we remove your images and associated data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA, Illinois under BIPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at alekla0126@gmail.com.

7. Children

Goldn is intended for users 17 and older and is not directed to children.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, per-user isolation). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll revise the “Effective date” above and, where required, notify you.
